What is your real life gas mileage?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I wonder what gas mileage you get out of your EX35? Please state whether your gas mileage is calculated, read off of the computer, with RWD or AWD. Thanks!

Just got 22mpg with 93 Octane gas on 4-hour highway drive over the weekend, averaging 50 miles/hr (lots of snow and raine). With city driving, been getting around 17mpg.

I have a 2009 EX35 RWD. We are showing an average fuel economy of 21MPG, that would be a combination of City and some Highway driving. The fuel economy reading is coming from my car's computer. I am really happy with the mileage. It is very close to my old 2001 i30, it had more room but was rated at 226HP and was front wheel drive. Now I have close to 300HP with RWD and get within 1MPG of the same mileage.

24.2 MPG on a 2008 RWD based on about 11,000 miles. The majority of my miles are highway, and am very pleased with the results to date. Really has exceeded my expectations.

15.7 M.P.G. (mixed City/Hwy) with my lead foot these days.

On long trips avg. speed being about 85 M.P.H. I get around 20-23 M.P.G.

(Running Shell 91 octane premium always and 38psi in the tires)

Thanks everyone for your input! I look forward to hearing more from the others!

I checked out the European EX37 websites. They claim to do 11.2 liters per 100 km, which translates to 1 US gallon for 21 miles. Isn't that a couple of miles better than the EX35? I just so wished that they had put in the 3.7 engine and the 7 speed automatic transmission for the 2010 model in North America. If they had done that, I would be even more interested in the car!!! Sigh.... they are probably keeping that for the 2011 model year change....

Around town my EX RWD gets about 19-20. Highway is 24-25 at 70 MPH. It seems to do well on 89 octane, mileage is a little better with 93 octane.

yea the EX37 gets better MPG from the 7spd slush box. however, gear hunting is a horrible issue for the car.... if you've ever ridden in the G37c it's the same feeling...not so great and comfortable.

for that extra 1-2MPG i wouldn't give up the comfort and relaxed feeling i get in the EX currently.

also i doubt the US will see the current EX37, maybe when MKII of the EX comes out, it'll carry the VQ37VHR, there's also that hybrid they are working on.

My driving is mostly local, around town. The computer reads 19.5 mpg, and stays there like glue!

I am in Florida, mostly city driving and roads are straight and good and no hills. I like to accelerate fast occasionally and I drive usually within speed limits +8mph. I am getting 18.5 mpg.

On a recent 100 miles trip on highway I was getting close to 24mpg.

I think this is okay for the car that fast and nice

I know i already reported on the black 2009

so far on the new one that i've had since tuesday, @ 161 miles, the car is getting barely 15.6MPG.... i dunno if this is due to winter blend and a mixture of a new car or not, but it sure surprised me cuz i was getting great mileage on the 09

you were right, at 460 miles now, and my mpg has definitely gotten better. i'm sitting at about 17/18 mpg now.

i think it would be better but we're on winter blend right now

I consistently get 19MPG with 89 octane in combination city/hwy driving. I'm considering experimenting with 91 or 93 octane to see if I gain back the additional cost per gallon in better mpg. This also has me wondering, is higher octane fuel better for the environment? I feel an Internet research quest coming on about this topic!

22 MPG - AWD

75% HWY - Speed 70-80 mph25% Local - Speed 40-55mph

Round trip is 80 miles each day. I always use Shell Premium in my car, use to have a BP around the house but its gone =-(. Shell has best performance, but BP is best for your engine. According to my buddy that works at the refinery and adds detergents to the gas, BP is the cleanest and most complicated (high refining standards). Shell is next, but it has performance boost compared to BP.

If I drive nice and civilized I can get 23.5.

I am getting 21.9 to 22.5 depending on my driving style that day. But I agree its worse with winter blend. In the summers I get above 22 sometimes 23mpg.

I've just filled up gas and here's the result:

655km with 72L of 95 Octan gas. This means pretty much 11L on 100km

and this again leads to a consumption of 21.38 mpg driving 30% City 70% HWY
