Zulu, it's very easy to do. All you need is a timing light and a ratchet and socket to loosen the distributor bolts. Make sure that you adjust the timing with the engine warm too. With the car off, disconnect the TPS sensor (2 plugs), it's located on the side of the throttle body. Hook up the timing light power, and connect the sensor to the #1 plug wire (closest cylinder to the front of the car) Go ahead and just break the Distibutor bolts loose (just a 1/4 to 1/2 turn will do, don't loosen them too much) Now, you need to familiarize yourself with the timing marks on the crank pulley. I think there are 6 of them (-5, 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 degrees) That is how the marks are from passenger side of car to driver's side. Stock timing should be set at 20. Now all you do is start the car and adjust the distributor until you get the desired timing. Tighten the distributor, check again (in case it moved while tightening it) Cut off the car, reconnect the TPS sensor. That's it!! I think there is a thread on this with some pics somewhere around here.
