beginning last week, ive started having trouble shifting into 1st and 3rd gear. if i rev match though, they shift fine, so i thought my sincros were going bad or i needed transmission fluid or something. well its been getting worse and worse, sometimes i have to use an enormous force to get into a gear (any), yet sometimes they go in fine (i always have problems with 1st though).

so i thought this was bad enough.... today when i got off work i put the car in first gear (it goes in fine whe the car is off), press the clutch pedal ALL the way down and turn the car on, and the car started rolling forward slowly up the hill, as if the car had an auto transmission in it (WTF), and on the drive home the clutch felt really mushy. when i got home i got the car into 1st again, pressed the clutch all the way in, but this time the clutch acted normal and the car didnt move.

i dont know wtf is going on and this is pissing me off because this car has been very reliable and just now that i decide to sell it this happens. please help.

That sounds more like a clutch issue than anything else to me.

yeah, check for that and movement of the slave cyl on the transmission.

The rod on the slave should move out about an inch or so. This is the rod that pushes against the shift fork.

anywho, what i think is happening, is you blew a spring out of the clutch. I think it may be time for a clutch job, but check everyhting on the outside first.

sounds like you're leaking clutch fluid(which is just brake fluid btw), if not a slave or mast cylinder problem

problemclutch does not dissengage completly

Check hydraulics and pedal adjustment, if not replace hydraulics.

sounds like what happened when my clutch blew up. Well, mine got a little worse because one of the springs flew out and got lodged in the pressure plate after a while, at which point I couldn't depress the pedal at all.
