Lately, I have been seeing alot of Infiniti comercials and advertisements. In every single one of them, I noticed that the Q45, and the M45 were not mentioned at all. All the showed were the G35, FX, and the SUV thingy.

I think this may be one of the causes of the decreasing sales of the Q45.

Can someone please explain this marketing, or better yet, lack of marketing for the Q45 and M45?

I've never, ever seen an M45 commercial, which is a shame because it's my favorite current Infiniti. I guess they think all Americans are interested in is SUVs, but personally I can't stand the FXs...

When the new M45 hits... Expect commercials. Its probrably a case of why advertise a car that we are changing in a couple of months.

There hasnt been an ad for the Q in a year. Its at the end of its product cycle and this particular generation is coming up on retirement. The current M was only intended as a stopgap model, but you can still find numerous magazine ads.

The Q isnt selling because its trying too hard to be bold and different in a way that doesn't make you say "Wow!" at first sight.

Bold works for Cadillac, however.

Agreed... But cadillac has a mass attractive bold, IE everyone thinks its cool.. Like the old Q, it is a "different" bold..... Good or bad..... More of a "eh its ok"... I still think there are many more cars of the same years that are more attractive than my Q45t... The fact is, infiniti has had some issues with styling...

IM still a little iffy on the M and Qs styling..... I saw an M45 commercial not too long ago.....

They where running the M45, "muscle car with brains" commercial during educational type programming at prime time on the quasi PBS channels up here. I dont think they worked, I think they messed up on their target demographic. But the it looks like the Subaru, Volvo XC, Land Rover and SMART car commercials capitalized. A muscle car with brains doesn't exactly work when your watching some show regarding a topic like a safari, outer space, travel or about dinosaurs.

I don't like the FX either. My friends mom has one. From the outside, it looks like a fairly large vehicle, but once you get into it, you will notice that it is tiny. I don't understand that. I'll take a Mini-Van over an FX anyday.

Um.... The only people that watch PBS are either old or don't have/Can't afford cable. So, I watch PBS all the time . They have some really great shows on there. I especially like Nova programs, they are usually good.

yeah I also saw that muscle car with brains sheeyat. But the M and the Q don't sell that great, and the suvs and the g35's are selling like mad. The dealer here in houston told me he can't keep g35 coupes in stock and the sedans sell nearly as quickly. get a lot of car for around 30k. People just don't wanna pay 45,000 for a nissan (especially one as unfantastic as the M or the Q). You can geta nice bmw for that much.
