Im just wondering what all those numbers and letters when you guys talk about engines and what not... is there a list or someting that i can see to look up mine or i dont know...i mean i know that a g35 is a name of a car ( infiity) but then like the other forums have vg,ve,vq i mean i am new to this thing and all sorry if this a repeat of something

Those all stand for Nissan engine codes.

VQ35de means:-V means cylinders are arragned in a V-Q is the series-35 means 3.5L displacement-d mean dual overhead cams-e means injected ("Einspritzer" even tho japanese , refernced the german term))

Differnt combinations mean differnt types if engines as found in differnt nissan/infiniti cars.Sometimes they can be swapped for each other for example a popular swap with 240sx is, putting in the SR20det for the KA24de.

Which means lots of extra performance (the t at the end being indicative of a Turbo engine).

Ok heres another newbie question... what is the z33, z32 and all that mean ...i know i have a Z33 ( right) but what is diffrent from the others or is it just the type of engine.

Its the generations of Z car.a Z32 was the generation previous to ours ( 90-96) and a Z31 the generation ebfore that.

Different chassis and engines
