My car is doing the weirdest thing. When I turn the key and turn it on nothing turns on no lights, no radio, not the ciggarette lighter except the background light for the clock but no digital numbers on the clock, alright here's the weird thing when I push down the clutch and turn the key, the engine starts and everything but still no electrical stuff inside the car then I give it a little gas and all of a sudden everything comes to life windshield comes on and scratches the hell out of my windshield lights come on radio everything but only after the engine is running and I give it a little gas anyone know why this could be happening?

sounds like a good 240sx-style problem, and i think you should just go with it...

check all your fuses, especially the alternator fuse or any of the fuses in the box on the passenger side of engine bay.

i say this because a blown alternator fuse will also cause all electrical to go out, however, it is possible to start the car (and only the clock illuminates, but no numbers), and i think the headlights work. maybe starting the car shakes it enough to hold the fuse leads in contact causeing this problem.

yup it turns out it was the Alt. fuse but now I noticed something really annoying the drivers side door was hit by an avalanche and now the car thinks the door is open and the annoying chiming sound is driveing me crazy, is there anything I could do to make it stop?

You can unplug the chime if you're just looking for a quick fix. I believe it should be one of the connectors atop the fuse panel behind the driver side kick panel. Just unplug stuff until the chime stops. Don't touch any yellow wiring or connectors.

right where the fuses are on the drivers side, there is a white connector. just unplug it and it wont make any chiming noises.
