So there is a blue wire with red stripe coming out of the engine side of the harness near the ECU. It is one of the thicker wires. On mine, this wire was cut, then soldered again. I cannot find this wire on the ECU plug, nor for the dash. Here is a pic of the wire. Again, this is coming out of the engine side of the harness. Anyone?

Well, that is definitely the color of the 5th pin coming off the coil subharness... So I guess just run it to a ground?dattodude wrote:might be the earth for the coils...

Sounds reasonable. I've only ever had 'chopped up looms'. lots of new wire. So I can't say for sure.
If you get continuity from this wire to the middle pin on each coil plug, then I was wrong..it's the 12V feed to coils.
