While trying to figure out how to unplug the IAC/ACC valve, I noticed that on the passenger side of the engine, above the valve cover, to the rear of the engine, next to the A/C component, there are 2 plugs. On the upper plug, there is a grey/blue wire. Apparantly over time, this wire has broken (from bieng stabbed by a butcher mechanic), and the grey/red wire next to it is still connected but shows where it has been stabbed also.

Jeeze.....I hope this has something to do with my high idle (1000rpm in N and P) Naw, I couldn't be that lucky, if not, how does the IAC/ACC unplug? I squeezed on the wire housing, but it dosen't want to give....Is the IAC/ACC adjustment screw viewed from the passenger side on the back of the valve?

Thanks...........

It's a very small wire, 22ga. maybe.....next to a grey/red wire of the same size..on a small plug on the outside of the large plug......

Where are these two plugs relative to the coil pack on the passenger side?

Can you just take a picture of it and post it here please?

I wish I could take a picture......

It's the Grey top plug over 2 others, under the throttle cables, mounted on the "engine pull" bracket. Heck, I'm gettin confused and I'm lookin at it. :-)

The 2 small wires in question come out of the harness, and seem to plug in on the outside of the main plug. The wires that go into the main plug are alot thicker.....

The one is a check connector so you can check RPMs with a volt type RPM gauge......

Yes, after looking at it, it does look like a "test" wire(s) and really have nothing with the car runs.......I did manage to unplug them and solder and heat sink back together.....Now I'll see if I can unplug that Idle valve.....Went for a 5 mile ride today and the trans shifts better, the car runs great, it just idles at 1000 in park. It's almost like it thinks the A/C is on. I'm awful tempted to just leave it....what the huh? Thats no fun!!!

I think in the end I'll have to drive out of town, make a day of it and visit the dealer. (I'll make sure I have a $grand ready)
