those are the two main plugs the white wire has a ground coming off of it... could this be the knock sensor

It's been a long time since I've had an original loom, but the only two shielded wires like that are for the oxygen sensor signal, and the knock sensor signal.

Yea i guess it is the knock sensor then, I really doubt the o2 sensor wire would be in the front corner of the car.

i thought knock sensor was a two wire sensor

Not on the CA, it's a single, shielded wire. And yes, that should be the wire for the knock sensor. There are actually 3 sheilded wires, the MAFS signal, the O2 Sensor signal, and the Knock Sensor signal. the Knock sensor signal is the only one that goes anywhere near the plug behind the battery.

Yep. That is the knock sensor lead. Just in case you needed another vote, lol
