What is this under the oil filter?

See picture.. It looks like I am getting an oil leak from it.. What sensor plugs into this hole and is there a gasket for it??

They all leak. It needs to be metal on metal for it to work right too which is why it leaks.

oil pressure sender, its pipe thread so put a little bit of teflon tape on it and call it a day

thay are right oil pressure sensor. but what weird bung is that between it and the oil filter mount? never seen it like that before.

they leak when the diaphram for the pressure part ruptures inside the sending unit..its actually common for them to go out that way.....you need to replace it..as far as the deal under it..its for an after market gauge..

someone said they all leak because of bad design.

where the plastic plug meets the metal part.

I have the same exact problem right now on my sohc i know its leaking from there because every time i lift the car up i wipe everything down and that still remains to stay wet with oil.

ive been searching for about an our now looking for what the hell this thing is called and i cant find anything, i went through courtesyparts, and few other part sites but nothing came up, also did a search on the site and i just found this. Oil Pressure Switch? thanks i needed to find this now i know the name of it.

It's a "T". Was the engine turbo before? It's used for an oil feed to the turbo.
