Oil separator, and yes... Unless you like oil in your intake piping.

but it doesnt go to my intake lolone tube goes from the crank case to my intake with no oil seperator or catch can and the other side with this box goes to what looks like the trans almost. i will see where exactly when i finish pulling it apart to replace my exhaust gasket.

It should go from the crank case, to the tee on the valve cover, then from the valve cover to the intake pipe.

true that it does so that keeps the oil kicked up in the crank case from getting to the intake then? thanks for the help, now i just need a catch can cause my intake is coated in oil
