What is this thing called ? - See pic.

Does anyone know what this electrical component is ? I went down to nissan to see if they could order a new one for me because mine is all burnt out on one side. They couldn't even find it. 1992 240sx/se.

It looks like a connector or electrical plug with some wires connected together inside and it looks like it is part of the wiring harness so It may have to be cut off to be replaced. I'm not sure how it got burnt either. My car still runs fine the way it is regardless. (P.S. Sorry, I posted this twice by accident. It said "Page Not Found" so I thought it got smoked and I posted it again under Name This Part GAme) to>

I believe thats your temp. sensor thats suppose to be drilled into your air filter box. but since you dont have one, that should be fine...

nah, if he circled what i think he did, that a diagnostic connection of some sort, its supposed to be disconnected, u can tell if it has some sort of cover that seals it, but is also removable. in either case, if your car runs fine, leave it be, save your money

P.S. they probly couldnt find it cuz they were probly using it to plug in some funky dealership consult computer to try and find what you were talkin about
