I'm sure I'm going to be embarrassed when I hear the answer, but I just can't figure out what this is that was in my trunk when I bought the car. I looked through the manuals, but didn't see it there either.

It has a weird date chart on it, with months and years, ranging from 2005-2010. Can someone enlighten me??? And please don't laugh at me.

If you live in a state where front plates are required by law (like California), then the dealer is required to install that for you for no charge. My dealer told me to come back when I had a chance and have the service dept. install it for me, but I choose to keep it off because I don't like the way it looks. Some day, I'll probably end up with a fix-it ticket, then I'll take them up on their offer.

Even if you don't live in a state where it's required, I'd take it back to the dealer if you want to install it because alot of people who try it themselves don't get it straight. Actually, I've even heard some stories of people coming back from the dealer with it crooked, but at least they're responsible for it then.

I'm glad you added that last part... my dealership put it on crooked... then the service manager looked at me like I was a tard when I tried to tell him it was crooked... I had to take it off and show him how it fit when it was on straight... It snugs right up in there, pretty hard to get crooked unless you're just not paying attention... honestly.
