What is this?

Saw this beauty going down the highway in Indy the other day...beautiful car, it was RHD and Id say to be circa 1940 something? any clue would be helpful. It had a really tall tubular (vertical) front grille but could have very well been custom.

Any idea?

Im looking at the rear fenders and they dont look the same.? the windows are similar though....maybe the one I saw had custom work done to it?

thats the best guess any of my buddies have come up with...I wonder how different they were year to year, them being hand made?

I cannot find a good picture of a '53 to match up with it. It seems the many that exist have been restored to vastly different styles. The last pic I put up is that car exactly. It belongs to Antique Limousine of Indianapolis. Worth around $50-60k I would think.
