I disassembled my dash/console yesterday and found two wire assemblies under the shifter boot that appear that they go together that were not connected. I am digging into my dealer service manual but have not found out what they are yet.

Any ideas? I am guessing it is an option I don't have but I don't have a great understanding of the history of the car so maybe it is something I don't know I am missing.

My ride is a '92 Maxima SE with a 5 speed and the DOHC.
