i just saw this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...73111

Is it the same thing as pluging one of those 10 cent radio shack resistors into the intake temp sensor?

If it was as good as they claim it to be... they would offer a more clear description of exactly WHAT THE HELL IT IS!!!! It sounds to me... to be the EXACT same thing as the "timing advance" resistor trick that you mentioned. But, now they've got it packaged in a fancy black box with some wires coming off of it... that will most likely plug into the IAT sensor harness. It does little or nothing to improve performance and there is no way it creates "13-22"hp increases.

I looked at those too when I got my first 240, after research I have come to one conclusion. You can't pack that much of a gain into something that small, if you could, it would be common knowledge by now and everyone would be doing it. Sounds too dangerous for me. It was probably designed to take money from unsuspecting ricers and those who don't know any better, by some evil mechanic somewhere who now makes millions selling all these things online and then millions more fixing the damage they cause. Oh and in his spare time he tears the legs off insects just to watch........ Ok well maybe thats exagerating a little but I wouldnt buy one.

That is exactly what it is,

I have that resistor I bought for .15c, I plugged it, into the air temp sensor, and I do feel a little gain maybe 3 hp max. So it does work, and it only cost me .15c so even if it doesn’t work I don’t care

I did the resistor I felt no real power gain, a slight increase in responsiveness, and it killed my mileage and threw the check engine light, I dont use it anymore

that things just as much a scam as those leaf blowers that they advertise as turbo chargers for $150. Sad thing is hundreds of people fall for them.

I love that dyno chart too, the torque and horsepower curves never even cross!

I have to do it! :bsflag
