you can remove the canister. just make sure you plug all the lines that are attached to it.

demetrius - are you sure that you just plug all the lines? i thought that one of the lines had to be vented with a filter or something.. just asking, because im taking mine out if you just plug all the lines..

yes. just plug all the lines.

if you're hesitant, then just disconnect all the lines from the canister before you remove it. block them all off and start your car. drive it around if you want. as long as all the lines are blocked off, you should have no problems whatsoever. the car will run fine.

EDIT! EDIT! EDIT!it's been so long since i've messed with the KA my memory's starting to slip. you are somewhat right 240marcuSX. there is a line that comes from the fuel tank that needs to vent. block all the other lines (there's 2 or 3 of them) except for the one for the fuel tank. a filter/breather isn't needed.

yeah, exactly, especially when it makes it so I can breath when I go outside. It's an emmissions control device, it isn't hurting anything, leave it be so we can live for a couple more years.

Never knew that "emmissions" was synonimous with "you don't need it"
