1990 JDM TT...

02 sensors i thought since they are in the rear of the cats...but the according to the FSM the only O2 sensors listed are in the downpipes...the wires come up under the center console storage i noticed when i did the boots and shift knob a few weeks ago into a box...EGT sensors was my second guess...but no info in the FSM

Interesting, those are catalyst temp sensors, which I thought were Cali emissions only.

They dont have any effect on how the vehicle runs, you can cut them off or do whatever you want, I removed mine when I removed my cats, the location of the hole where the wire enters the chassis is a great location to run an Air/Fuel sensor tho with downstream bungs welded onto your test pipes :D

since its a RHD, im thinking it might be from Japanese emissions, id assume they probably have stricter standards.
I'm going to cut the wires and close off the rubber plug from water intrusion, then pull the wires and box out of the car...hopefully no C.E.L.

Also just ordered a new Style PTU and harness adapter from COZ, should be here in a few days. Should cure the misfire as i have an original 1990 PTU

then plenum pull for updating, cleaning, freshening.
