what is this plug

car started running rich today so i was cleaning all the connection like ive done in the past to fix it and unpluged this connector while the motor was running and the rpms dropped from 1300 to 750. when pluged it back together it went back up to 1300. can anyone tell me what it is and wat it controlls

i really don't know but was wondering how those hoses have held up. have you had any problems with them?

From the way you are describing it, sounds like the TPS (throttle position sensor) plug.

tps is next to it on under the red paint. and no probs with the hoses
