What is this? (picture)

I just bought an S13 with SR20 swap and I have this weird bracket in the engine bay. I assume is was something for the KA? Should I remove it?

i think it has to do with the coil for the old ka. dont think it is needed since you are sr'd. but i dont have an sr so idk

if not what derrick said, then it might be an upper mounting point for the stock air box. don't quote me on that though.

the KA coil bolts to the strut tower. that bracket is for the Drooping resister.

If your not using it why not remove it.
