I'm not sure on the s13's but on the s14 it goes into one of the Y pipes before the air filter box.

but it doesn't have to go anywhere special:)

yes is gose into the air box top half, pretty close to the spot that the small pipe that comes out for the emissions stuff. at lest that is what i remeber, but its been about 5 months seens i took it out

To easy Mad, rise above the cheap poke, be nice, mmmmmm, aaaa, air temp sensor! See that wasn't hard. I would say do a circle with the wire taught. That will give you a small "zone" where it has to go. It looks like a quarter-turn plug, probably a hole in the air box under the filter.

I'm not sure what year your s14 is, but on all others it goes IN the airbox just above the filter, not on the Y-pipe.

Nope, it's held in with two small screws. The 'spot' that it goes into has one hole in the middle (for the IAT sensor) and two small holes for the screws. On the s14 they are bolts not screws, but to the best of my recollection the s13 has two screws.

Klorocks, what are the last 6 number in your vin? I have an 89 FB with the last 6 numbers being 004997. Im just wondering b/c i dont have that sensor, but my parts car coupe does. It has the numbers 007419. I guess that was added after my car was made?

You don't need to put the air filter box to pass smog!!! as long as you don't have headers.. you will pass smog! trust me... or atleast, I passed with it on
