My friend has a 2011 QX56 which has a loose part hanging under the front end. It's a metal piece and appears to be a deflector plate/shield of some sort? We looked online and could't find an illustration with an exploded view or what the fastening screws were. does anyone know what this part is? Or where online we can find an illustration with part names/numbers?

Looks to be the skid plate and the rear two bolts that holds it on are missing. Has he had his oil changed recently?

Thanks jayb. I am unsure if the oil was changed recently. I seem to recall it might have been, but I will ask. Is this a part that need to be removed in order to change the oil?

The skid plate has to be removed for an oil change. The (2) rear facing bolts needed to secure the skid plate is this:

Nissan/Infiniti part 01121N8051

So no work has been done since April. This hanging plate was noticed in July. Does anyone know the bolt size of those fasteners holding it in place? I looked again online at some part sites,but simply don't see the part shown in any illustrations.

I just looked at your vid links again and right at the beginning, I can see the skid plate is missing one of the front bolts that secures it in place. Its the same bolt/part 01121N8051 for all (4) bolts.
