My old Ca did that...but it had 140psi across all 4 cylinders. Do a leak down/ compression test.

Well.. are you SURE it's oil?Does it 'dry' out?

When you first start the car a lot of water will condense in the exhaust pipe until it gets hot. That pipe is FULL of carbon deposits that get blown out when you rev it.If the turbo or engine were leaking oil you'd have SMOKE.Mine does the same thing if there is water collecting in the exhaust and I rev it, it just sprays out the carbon and after it dries I have a weird black splatter.

Look at your bumper, it's all black, that should be a good indicator I'm correct.

The MG does that hardcore. It's because I have it tuned rich right now. When you start the engine the exhaust system is cold, and the water vapor in the exhaust condenses on the inside of the pipe (with all that soot) and some of it gets blown out. That's probably what you're seeing. If the engine runs well I wouldn't worry about it at all. It's common on turbo charged engines especially due to the mixture requirements under high boost.

Better late than never...

It's a carbon/fuel/water mixture. As previously stated, when the temps in the exhaust go up, all of that stuff stays in a gaseous form and you don't get the droplets.

My 1 yr old motor does it. Putting the catalytic converter back in will fix this as well. Believe it or not, most high flow cats don't pose that much of a restriction to the exhaust flow. I'm going to put mine back on.

I watched that darn Al Gore movie and it's got me all freaked out...

My Magnaflow high flow cat (freaking $90 for a damn Magnaflow, lol) takes a serious chunk out of high RPM acceleration, but low end grunt seems a little more full.

Screw the planet. We are going to kill ourselves long before any real damage to the earth will occur.

Although i partially agree with this statement, i still think its important that we all do our part. Fossil fuels will run out, and a renewable resource will become available but during the time being we should do what we can. One example is the crazy weather weve been getting here in Chicago. It was December and January and we still had warm weather, during winter! Well fairly decent weather with no snow atleast. That can be traced to global warming and whatnot(<---my scientific theory ).

But to continue with the renewable fuel thing, i believe once the government is done ripping people of and the world has gotten f'd up enough, we'll start seeing these "future cars." I personally believe were going to go to all electric vehicles. Also i believe that electricity and magnetism will play a roll in how we get this energy. Also, the technology is there, according to the government its just that its not "time" to release it. They want to make as much money of off fossil fuels before they actually release this newer technology. Where is this technology coming from you ask? Well my opinion is from ufo technology. You can see more of what im talking about in this video i included. Sorry about this long reply but i wanted to talk about this subject.

Heres a video that might be worth watching, for educational purposes or fun. You take it as you please. You never know, it might just be the real deal?!

I think your right, we all don't have to think this way. The media, religion, and government has been controlling us for some time with lies. We all collectively have the power to change the worlds destiny. I think that everyone should question everything and understand the power in that. Stop looking at things so negative. Why must our nature be to expect the worst but want the best? Everyone should watch this video and the 911 video and wake up to the truth!

Yeah your right. Is the cat the reason for the problem or is it the solution?

I speculated it might solve the problem. People runnings cats are telling me otherwise.

It' caused by unburnt fuel, carbon buildup, and water.

heres some food for your kanoodle:

how do you know what is the untrue propaganda?

if you cant scientifically prove something yourself, do you know for certain that it is true?

it goes both ways

Back on topic...

But cant the cat be damaged if too much unburnt fuels past through? I know this is true of OBDII cars and the computer tries to do everything in its power to save the cat. In these older cars, especially our turbo cars that we "must" run rich (most of us are using 93 octance gasoline) in order to avoid detonation, leaning out, etc. arent we just prematurely going to wear out the cat?
