This box came with my swap (rb25det) when I bought it and I never could figure out what it was. I googled the numbers on it and it kept bringing up Russian websites. I figured someone on here would be able to tell me if it's valuable or if I can trash it.

I have never seen anything like that. Are you sure it even plugs into the engine harness? Looks like it is some kind of body control module.

was the car originally an automatic?

Looks like the automatic shifter box that goes underneath the dash on the driver's side. not needed if ur car is manual now.

Or it could be traction control related like the person above mentions.. google shows me this: http://nissan.epc-data.com/laurel/hc35/ ... 476/47850/ probably something from the car your rb25 was from, since the 13 and 14s didnt have TCS

Yea, I can't remember if it plugged into the harness of if it was just on the pallet with the motor swap. It's been sitting to the side throughout my build and I've never been able to figure out what it is or goes to. My swap is 5spd, so it's def not a Transmission Control Unit. Well, if I don't need it, I'll trash it. Thanks fellas.

It is a jdm flux capacitor. Smaller, lighter, and way more efficient as it only needs 12 volts not 1.21 jiggawatts!
