What is the trick to removing the door handle with lock cylinder

from one of the front doors of 1992 Q45? I'm swapping RH front door from parts car to my driver, all goes well except removing the beautiful oval shaped door handle escutcheon - there are two nuts, but an electrical component that senses motion of the doorlock cylinder keeps the escutcheon from coming out. I've looked at it from all angles, still can't find the key. If anyone's prevailed at changing out door handle w lock, I'd love to know how.

There is a spring that must be removed from the handle assembly... check your email.

Wow, thank you, it is not hard at all, once the spring is known.

Spring is not at all obvious, one can barely see it.

This detail is not described in any way in the FSM. Go figure.
