I bought some j30 lights and I want to put "Halos", "Angel eyes" or "Demon eyes" (what ever is easier for you to understand). But before i go taking them apart I want to be sure of the projectors diameter?

You've got the light in your hand, measure it.

There are lots of hidden areas on this forum with J30/M30 information. It sjust takes a little curiousity and some clicking.

The headlights on a J30 are not as long as the OEM 1990-1993 Infiniti Q45 headlights. I have never tried to retro fit the projectors from J30 headlights on OEM 1990-1993 Q45 headlights, But I don't see it as being impossible. Obviously it would be harder to make it look OEM.

There are some JDM 1994-1996 Q45 headlights with projectors and "Angel eyes", But they are custom made.

Hey Shark,

This post is old but I have a 93 Infiniti J30 and been thinking about getting some upgrades done this year. I saw the mods you did on the angel eyes and wanted to know if you are still doing that? If so what would that run? I have a couple of other things I want to do but want to know how feasible it would be to get it done.

supplies consist of window blind rods (clear obviously), reflection tape, clear nail polish(dollar store), dremel, drill and bit, electrical tape, heat shrink, wires resister and switch. Preheat oven to 350 and while its preheating cut all your rods in half and remove the tip. Then take measurments of how big your light is and find a round object that size. (I used the lid of the sugar container and a spaghetti jar) then throw one of the rods on a piece of foil in the oven for 4 minutes. Take it out after the four minutes is up and wrap it around your sugar lid. Hold for about 15 seconds until it hardens. Repeat for the rest of your rods. then figure out how you want your halos to look, as in how big the gap is and cut with your dremel what you would like. Then use the dremel to cut little slits all along the front of your halo. Take your drill and drill
into the ends. This is going to be one of the harder steps since your dealing with something so small and a slip of the hand can ruin the hole.( to be extra carefull I drilled a hole I knew was too small, threw the rods in the oven for about two minutes and shoved the led in the hole) Fit your led, and make adjustments. Then take clear nail polish and dab it in your fresh drilled holes. This will keep it strong and allow more light through. Kind of acting like a magnifying glass. put the reftective tape on the back, then its basic wiring and taping from there.

So maybe it wasn't that brief.. lol

I should probably also add that your first time making them usually doesn't go all that smooth.. so if swimshark is willing to make you some I'd go that route :bigthumb:

Why not just by the CCFL Halos on ebay? Order a set of 80's and 90's. Bake lights, mount halos, reseal, wire em up to your parking lights.

thanks shark but I decided to go with regular morimoto HID's and they are great. I'm also looking to get my sunroof and interior redone. So I will focus on that for the summer.
