What is the RSM on the RB25 and having problems with firing. Alot of backfire!

Yes I am not worth, but just in case I am here is my ?. Coil is not hot and getting a lot of backfires and popping. What could this be ? I sent out the harness to be re-done, trying to avoid such problems. What is your solution? HELP!
