Recently I saw a Q45s emblem for sale at Circle Infiniti. I don't recall seeing an S model. Was Q45s a limited edition sport model?

Likely a dealer-only package... probably included gaudy wheels and pinstriping. :)

There wasn't an "s" from the factory.

What year? There is an 02-06 Sport, but it was never badged with an "S" on the trunk. We had A's and T's on 1st gen and T's on 2nd. Not sure there was a T for 2nd Gens but I know there were no S badges. Snap a pic with your phone next time.......but what year Q??

:wtf2:

wow......

the 02 F50 had 3 levels from the factory: Base, Sport, Permium. At one point the Sport was dropped 04 maybe, then reintroduced.

As another poster correctly stated, there was not a badge that reflected the "sport" model prior to 06. (CORRCTED)THere were floor mats with the word "Sport" on them.

Guys, ALL 2006 q45 models were "sport" models, and wore a S on the trunk lid after the q45 emblem.....every single one of them in the USA at least.

I don't think I have ever seen a 2006 Q45, but there were what, less than 600?

I think you are close, I recall hearing numbers in the upper 500s for the 2006 model.......I bet if you look hard, there is at least 1 left unsold sitting in some dealers back grass lot with weeds growing around it, baking away in the sun.

The 2006 was a strange bird being the last of the series {funny, kinda like the 1996 Q was } as they consolidated to a "no option" one size fits all, take it or leave it type vehicle.......gone was the power reclining rear seats, rear HVAC and audio controls, and a few other desirable goodies that could be optioned in the 02-05 models as either individual options or part of available packages. All were labeled sport and included 19 inch wheels and firm suspension settings which for many, especially those who live in areas with less than stellar road maintenance, could have been viewed as a huge drawback to the car.

They exist i've owned mine since 2007 bought it with little over 14,000 miles and currently have 50,100 had a new engine installed under oil consumption at 40,000 something not a problem since. I enjoy it as much as my 2003 G35 and your correct the emblem does say Q45s.

I looked at that 06', with only 50k on the odo the interior sure looks like it was thrashed pretty hard. For 25k if it was clean it would have been tempting. Notice the 06' has the M45 Sport Enkei-sourced rims on it. They must have changed the offsets for the 06' as those rims are way off for all other Q's.

Almost every low mile f50 seems to have a very worn drivers seat, especially the lower part nearest the door-must have used a low quality leather/vinyl combo. Even 25K mile examples showed this wear.

Crap, that's in Austin. Not sure if I am even motivated enough to go look at it. Driver's seat cushion is sad for only 50K and 5 years.

Sorry for the late reply, just out enjoying the long holiday weekend and all.
I must say my experience with the local dealer in Lexington and Infiniti has always been top notch service. No issue with replacing the engine it burned 1-1/2 quarts every 3000 miles I do my own maintenance and let it pour into a clear measuring bowl. I aslo had a worn drivers seat bolster so for a buck fifty had a leather shop reform the cusion it works i'm happy. I'll take some pics soon I need to wax her first.
HAPPY FOURTH & BLESS OUR TROOPS!
