87 Octane is $3.79... but 89 Octane with 10% ethanol in $3.69.... which is good becasue the motorcycle runs fine on 89, but doesn't like 87 as much.

Personally, I'm ready to throw a party... I've been waiting for a gas price spike for a few years to drive the rolling land barges (SUV's) off the road and get Suzie soccer mom into a medium size crossover or gasp... a minivan. We'll see $5 before demand trails off and prices relax a little.

I'll be getting plenty of use out of my 48mpg motorcycle this summer on long trips.

I saw a great photo where 80 people were shown at an aerial view using motorcycles/scooters, cars and in a bus. It makes you realize why we have a traffic problem in the city. The 2 wheel machines took up approx. 1/5th the road space while a bus used less than 1/2 the space of the motorcycles.

I just paid $4.399 per gallon at the local Chevron. Looking at my records the $44.17 is the most expensive fillup since we bought the car last July.

We have definitely cut down on our driving. We do not go anywhere without combining trips (hitting the supermarket on the way home from school, the drugstore and the market on the same trip, etc.) and we exercise right here in the neighborhood instead of driving to a park or path to do it.

I used to make runs to the market for things while preparing dinner or do the shopping in the evening. Now we just make do with what's in the house at the time and put those wanted items on the list for a trip when we're already passing by the place.

Too High.

Folks will look back on this post and think, man gas sure was cheap back in 08.

Currently $3.79 in Oklahoma City. The Versa is getting driven a lot more. Sure beats the big 4x4 or minivan.

I'm paying $4.15/gal for regular, and that's at the cheapest Arco I can find.
