what is the perfect offset?

I 'm looking at these work equipment: The size are 17x8+5 114.3 5 hole and 17x9+10 114.3 with a +5 in the front and +10 in the rear, the lip is deep and deeper in the front. is that gonna work for an S13 with five lg conv.? I want 17x8 and 17x9, with some lip so pics would be great

don't know what you mean by a perfect offset but the specs you mentioned it will work only if you do widebody or roll and pull the fender/quarter panel

I just put some 17x8+28 rims on the front of my 89 240sx and they are almost sticking out of the fenders, a +5 would stick out almost an inch with the 23 differance and definately require widebody fenders.

I figured these will stick out, but i'm considering +30something in the front and +20something in the rear. I've seen that size on s13s and they don't really stick out. Anyway I've put the rims off 'till I do 5 lug, no point of waisting $$ on another 4-lug set
