i just got the car not too long ago and my oil pressure reading is, to me a bit low. im getting around 15-20psi at idle at around 800-900 rpm. is that too low ?? and at higher rpm i can reach up to 80psi. at 1500 to 2000rpm its at 40-50psi.

should i be worried ??

depends on how long it's been on, and the sort.

Generally speaking it will be super high when cold (especially in Winter), but I've always said that if you have at least 10psi per 1000 rpm, you're doing ok.

yeah i notice at inital start up i get about 80psi but once its at normal operating temperature at idle im only getting 15-20psi of oil pressure. it just seemed too low to me because i have driven other cars(not nissans) before and oil pressure was always way higher then that at idle. so that is normal then ???

i'm getting about 20 psi at idle. and like cody said, about 10 psi per 1000 rpm from there.

My redtop runs about 12-18 psi at idle (~900 RPM) when the motor is at normal temp, and runs up to ~80psi at WOT. Cruising around (b/t 2000-3500 RPM) I'll run b/t 30-60 psi.

FSM says 11 psi at idle when fully warm.
