Just saw this thread. Its exact name is "Weather Strip Assembly - Roof Header." Part number has been revised 2 times.

K3400-6X001 --> K3400-6X011 --> K3400-6X031

K3400-6X031 is a current part number. As far as I know, you can't get it from the dealership in the U.S. anymore. List price is $437.69.

I am having leakage problems!!! I think its because the gasket is worn. Thank you again!!!

Then any suggestions of where to obtain it or any replacements from other convert cars? Would a ford mustang or another model be cloase enough?

There are 2 hooks that go to the windshield frame. Right? If you look at them carefully, they are threaded. You can adjust the length by turning them. If you make them short, top will close tight and you won't have leak anymore. But, BE CAREFUL. If you make them too tight, something might break. If the hook hits the bottom and doesn't go in anymore, you can take it out and grind off the end of it a little bit. Use WD-40 or PB Blaster when you adjust the hooks.

You are welcome! Glad to hear that you found the problem.

If you get a new seal and try to replace it, there's a big chance you will break interior panels during the process. They are very fragile, expensive and most of all, you can't get them from dealership anymore. If anyone has leaking problem in that area, I rather fix it up and/or adjust top hooks. You can use Loctite 5900(hard) or 5910(soft) to fix the seal.

This seal on Lotus M100 has been made completely from the scratch with 5900, so it's not going to be hard to patch it up, fix the crack or reinforce existing seals.

Here's the detail on the products.http://68.72.74.108/PRODUCTS/5900.htmht ... S/5910.htm

Our verts are getting old, and many seals are no longer available, so DIY is a way to go.

I did try adjusting the hooks and used a little oil to untighten the allen screw(i believe 1/8 inch). Have not tested it for leak worthiness yet. I am on my last couple of turns on the drivers side.

Which interior panels. Are they plastic and located right below the weather stripping?

I believe the weather seal has been smashed down over the years and has lost some rigidity. Like a wonder bread sandwich if sat on.

Over all there is no degradation of the seal meaning small holes that would call for loctite.

Yup! and IIRC, you have to remove side ones on A-pillars too. Healiner trim is definitely not available. Not sure about A-pillar covers. Well, coupe, vert and hatch A-pillar covers might be the same, but never checked.

You can squeeze loctite under the seal to push it up a little. You know what I mean?

Vert has unique A-pillar covers, but I'm pretty sure they're all interchangeable. USDM coupe/hatch A-pillar cover is slotted for automatic seatbelts.
