What is the minimum I need to run?

I have been having problems with our dirt track race car cutting out. See thread below for more inforamtion:zerothread/330663

One drastic step I am considering is totaly re-wiring the car with a custom harness that contains only the bare nessesities. What do I absolutly have to have wired to the ECU for my motor (KA24E) to run reliably? Of course I am assumeing that all connected items are working properly. What I came up with is:

Crank Position SensiorMAFCoolant Temp (in intake )Power and Ground to the ECUAltanator wired inECU to the injectorsEC to the Power Transistor for the coilFuses as needed

We currently are bypassing the Fuel Pump Relay and powering the Fuel pump direct through a switch. Also is the O2 sensor required?

If this is all I really need then I can cut out a lot of extra wires and make things much simpiler.

Any thoughts?
