Last night I started working on pulling my ECU. I went to my trunk and got my mechanics manual and noticed an area where the jack and jumper cables are. I pulled the black plastic piece and saw the car still had the original jumper cables and jack. So I pulled the jack out, but when I did so I saw a long thing tube thing loose. I fished around an bit and saw what seemed to be where it went by the so I just popped it back or what I think was back. I could not find anything in the manual for this tube like thing. I was only left to assume it was a drain tube to direct any rain or water down, sorta like a duck. I hope I put it back in the right place. It had no funny smell nor a hist.

The more I work with this car the more I find how complicated it is. Also I notice the passenger side of my center by the shifter is loose. It looks as if the glue is weak. I want to take that apart and fix it. Its minimal but I like a flush look. I was wondering if I can fix it, or do I need a straight replacement?

Did you notice it also has what seems to be a release valve as to release pressure from air or water or something.

It's the drain from the sunroof. On the PS the antenna drain ties into the sunroof drain. If you're talking about the vertical trim between the seat and the shifter....It's all bolted/screwed together. Remove the shifter surround and take a look. Probably a missing or loose screw.

You've got the kickpanel off so you're only about 10 minutes away from pulling codes. Bring a flashlight with you tonight and get 'er done. The suspense is painful.

Leave the ECU connected and laying on the floorboard until you pass smog so you don't have to remove it again.

That advice to leave it loose is good, I may do so. As long as the light comes on in position 2 it should pass. Just 1 hour ago manager asked me if I can skip going to DMV/Smog tomorrow morning because we will be short staff, worst then that they asked me to stay late today. I can't get to mad , but this is why I can't get anything remotely done until Sundays. I really don't want to push it back another day, so I have deviced a plan. Any body has a five bean burritos and pepto bismol.

Not to change the subject but your ride is clean. I like it a lot. I had a chance to purchase a 1994 Q45T Silver with black interior. Even though I don't regret getting my own your is sweet. The lady selling wanted $3,000 and it had about 300,000 miles. She said she would go down to $2,700. I'm glad I waited because I paid much less for my own, but the thought of Silver on Black was nice.

He has bigger pictures that really show off the amazing paint. It's called Silver Amethyst I believe. It's a brilliant silver with a light purplish hue to it. It's amazing...

Yea it's definitely one of the most amazing paints Nissan ever put on a car. My uncle is my painter and he liked it so much he used it on one of his clients show car.
