What is the hole for?

On my redtop sr20det, there is a hole with threads located on the manifold right before the downpipe. For weeks I thought that it was for the o2 sensor but I guess I was wrong.. anybody know what this is for? If I can plug it up, what should I use?

Pics would be nice. The only holes on the manifold shoudl be bolt holes for the heatshield. The o2 sensor screws into the turbo extension pipe.

It's possible that someone altered the Sr mani for an external wastegate I suppose, but without pics, I can't help you

Theres two holes one for the 02 sensor and one for some smog garbage just go to a exhaust shop and get a plug for it.

EGR bung? SPLparts sells an EGR Bung cap that screws right in for like $10?

If I can plug it up, what should I use?

its to put your pen15 in.

its for AIV aka EGR system. Basically emission garbage that you don't need.

just get a plug and put it on there. Done.
