What is the Diff. Between S14 5-lug Hub and S13 4-Lug Hub?

I am looking into doing a 5-lug conversion on my 4-lug S13. I know one way is to get the S14 5-lug hub, spindle, and S14 balljoint.

Rather, what exactly is the difference between the S14 hub and the S13 hub (besides the extra stud). Why won't it fit? What interferes so that you can't use it?

Is it an inner diameter bearing difference?Is the S14 spindle diameter (where the bearing slips over) diff. from S13?

If everything is the same, can I just swap out the bearing? I don't want to dish out the cash for aftermarket hubs.

Why not keep your license plate centered on your bumper the way OEM intended...

According to Rock Auto, S13 and S14 SE front bearings are the same...

the uprights are different, point is you can either buy aftermarket hubs or use the s14 pieces theres no cheapy third option or else everybody would be doing it

In what way are they different, and why can't the hub be used => That's my question.

I have access to a full-machine shop and I can machine.

the pieces differ.... if your going to machine yours your going to need examples of what they need be which means your going to need s14 pieces or aftermarket hubs or else go off a picture in the end its not worth the headache just source the parts
