I am looking to buy my self a 89 coupe, I looked at one earlier today and it was a 12 valve. I thought that tey all came with 16v. How can I tell which ones will have these so I don't waste my time? I will not accept 12 valve over 16. Please help. Thanks in advance.:help

uhhh... if you buy any 89 or 90 240 it will have the 12 valve ka in it unless the person you bought it from swapped in a motor. you have to get a 91+ in order to get the 16 valver.

I have 12 valves, works fine for me...

I dunno.. I have a 16v 2.4 KA... and it's pretty sweet. But, I also have a 12v 2.6 from my truck that is a torque MONSTER!! The 12v setup acctually makes a lotof sense... in terms compression efficiency.

yeah, I have a 12v in my Stanza.. Simple Valve Train design.. Un cluttered.. I wouldnt hesitate to buy a 12v 240 in good condition.
