What is the damn hose called!

I am in need of replacing of a hose that connects the intake to the valve cover, I see that it is cracked somewhat. Anyone know or has an idea what what im talking about?

Yeah, it's just vaccum hose, cost like 50 cents a foot. Go to your local auto part store and get some.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it is a breather hose that has to be a special kind of hose because the regular hose they sell for 50 cents a foot is heater hose and it deteriorates over a period of time when exposed to oil (it will be). The heater hose stuff will work for a while though no problem.

red is right.. that hose is just a normal hose like the rest of the radiator hoses. It just allows the air in the valvetrain to blow back into the intake. Only reason why it's cracking is simply because it's old.

any auto parts place will have that hose.. I believe its just a 3/4" radiator hose.
