Mine reads 700 at idle and drop a little bit when it's in 'D.'1100 is way too high.

I just found the info under FAQ..http://www.240sx.org/faq/index.html

the idle speed, should at.... Idle speed (in "N" position, No-Load) 700 +/- 50 rpm.

Thank you. now i have to find out how to adjust the idle speed. I saw it at some point during my reading through stuff. My main focus was the revolution sensor thing.

1.) Follow this link:http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/240sx/

2.) Download the appropriate manual

3.) Find the section for setting your base idle and follow that

4.) Download this .pdf as well - you'll want it later:http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/24...t.pdf

The auto tach'd 1100 in park and about 800 in drive, and my manual gets about 6-700 in neutral.

When cold it could be around 1000 rpms, til it warms up, then it should drop bot 700/800.

Mine is still auto and it's at 700 in idle. 600-650 in 'D.'1100 is way too high.

What happen to your first convert? I am on my second one myself. 1st one i Traded it in for Audi TT roadster.

The second 240sx convert i bought on auto trader and got hosed big time with fixing it up. For starters a new/used engine.. had to replace the original one.

I did get two different opinions on the idle speed. Thanks for your input though.
