I'm putting my VG30DETT back together for my other Z for its new owner and I'm debating whether to put back the coolant lines...

If it has a Turbo Timer... are there any benefits to the coolant lines being on the turbos?

And if I remove the coolant lines, what do I put in the holes on the turbos? Leave them open, close them off? Just put the bolts back in and tighten them and leave them? What?

no need for them with a turbo timer...you can get plugs at a hardware store to plug them up

if your doing any sort of performance driving, I would recomend attaching the coolant lines... turbos have a habit of getting so hot they glow... and thats with coolant lines, now remeber air passes through it as well, and its hot... so not only is the intake charge hot because of the ideal gas law, its also hot because you just sucked it through a really hot chunk of metal, and any heat increase at atmospheric is multiplied when compressed

Coolant lines are definately nice to have, and if you have a choice then go for it. If you choose to go without the coolant lines then a turbo timer is a requirement and you'll need to be more careful upon selecting an oil for your engine.

I would also think that keeping the turbo at a cooler, more stable temperature would help to increase its life, but that is just a guess.

What kind of lines do you run for coolant? I will have a LOT of left over hardline so maybe i can go get some fittings for it and hook up my coolant lines if the turbo i get even has ports for em.

the std lines are -6, same as the std fuel lines.
