What is the cheapest anyone has ever pieced together a turbo kit for a 95 240sx 5spd? Just curious because I really want one, but I am currently on a budget... sucks. Let me know. Also let me know if anyone knows of any loose parts or turbo kits running around if so I want to buy them... Thanks. Shane

I dont know, but I'll give you a peice of advice: dont ever skimp out on a turbo. its MUCH better to slowly build the parts you need, and hold onto them, and make a quality turbo setup than throw together something that may blow your engine.

Well, messing around on Ebay for about 20 minutes, I helped a frined get most of the parts to turbocharge his 2002 Nissan Frontier for 907 bucks. That's for a new rev-hard manifold, a t3 turbo I already had laying around, Vortech 8:1 FMU, starion intercooler, and a turbo-xs BOV. Now the price could have been cheaper since I just used the "buy it now" option(the manifold is what cost the most), but he was like "Dude what are you waiting for?", so I got it. He had a 1000 budget and I met it with shipping. All we gotta do now is make the piping for it and install it. Not too hard since a buddy of mine works at an exhaust shop and can get mandrel bends all day long. he still needs to get a fuel pump, but other than that we pretty much have everything ready to go. He wants to do some work to make it a very clean install(like ceramic coat the manifold and the turbo exhaust housing) but he already has all the parts to make a basic set-up. Now I don't know if it's as good as a "kit" but since it's mostly for show anyways and he hardly drives the thing, we're only gonna set it up to run 5 psi. Hope this helped. If you look and are patient you can probably do it cheaper than us. Plus, we're gonna trailer it straight to a dyno and have it checked before driving it too. So all in all, he may have about 1500 bucks in it all together when it is all said and done.

Turbo_Nismo, No kidding I would like to get in contact with your friend I just finished turbo charging my Nissan Frontier, It cost me about 1300 with everything, including as follows, IHI Ballbearing T3, Custom manifold, Silvia injectors, Vortech FMU 12:1, 1G intercooler, 1G BOV, APEXi SAFC, APEXi timer, custom piping,3" exhuast, and a few more things I can't think of right now, but I would suggest new injetors for sure, mine was leaning out w/o them. That is awsome did not know or see any other turboed frontiers out there...
