What is the Bulkiest Item You Have Ever Loaded into Your EX?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I am astounded by the lack of cargo space with the rear seats up. But with the rear seats down, they're kinda decent.

What is the largest thing you have ever loaded up into the car. Bonus points for pictures!

I've loaded a 50" plasma T.V. box into my EX the other week. The box was much bigger than the television. Was quite pleasantly surprised it fit.

Its also done duty for Ikea furniture but I remember I couldn't fit a large Ikea storage closet in the because it was too long. Had to borrow the parents MDX for that job.

I'm ashamed to say a Honda Fit might "fit" more things in than my EX because of the versatility but you gotta give up something for the addional luxury and comfort.

I sell flooring. Last night I put a roll of one of our products in. A roll is 4'11" tall and 2' in diamiter. Weighs 425 lbs.

I need to cut up some as a cargo cover to help things slide in and out but it worked. Not easy but worked.

I'll get a picture next time.

Not a "single" bulky item but the first day we had the EX we headed to the cottage and loaded:

1 large luggage bag
2 carry-on luggage bags
2 cat cages
1 cooler
2 pillows
2 2-4's of beer
6 new beach towels
8 pairs of shoes (blame the wife on that one)

It was a tight fit but it handled it well. With the seats up it's not a lot of room, but down it's really impressive.

Maybe, maybe not, but the Fit's payload capacity isn't any larger than the EX35 860 lbs.

Yes, the 860 pounds is including people, the total weight inside the vehicle, people and cargo. I believe the Fit is about the same. The Element is very low, only 650 total including people.
