hey stupid question for the professionals. I am swapping in my turbo now and it wont clear the "box" in front of the brake cylinder. its a 94 vert ka24de. The box im talking about is right in front of the brake cylinder and it also connects to the air intake box. there is a electronic plug in right below it. what does this box do? and can i remove it for my turbo setup. ive looked at alot of ka-t setups and i dont see it in the pics, like they removed it. so is it okay to get rid of it. I think it has something to do with emissions. Im planning on removing the egr on the back of the engine but can i do the same with this box. less is better in my opinion. Ive already removed the ac and power steering.

its your aiv, for emission purposes but doesn't really help, just take it out, 95 and up 240's don't have it anymore.

I did see a how to on removing it. It’s connected to the oem down pipe, but you'll replace that with a new turbo dp, air box is going, so I think all that is left is to plug any vacuum lines that left dangling. Think I found the how to while searching "emissions" or “aiv”
