Why do you want something that'll over-draw your alt? It'll rob hp if you do.

The Flex-a-lit Black Magic 150 pulls like 2800 cfm and draws 9 amps.

The one you're thinking of is SPAL, but the F.A.L. is better IMO.

Shroud design is much more critical than fan power. Shroud must seal against the rad core perfectly, and the fan needs to be very close to the rad core.

Dual fans are also not as efficient as one big fan.

during day time, when I am in stop and go traffic, the water temp and oil temp will easily hit 90c. This is from very mild driving, 10psi on t28 wit no major mod. I already have koyo radiator and flex a lite fan but right now I'm looking for a more efficient way for cooling

I have an 18" single fan on mine. I also don't have a clutch fan, I have the fan wired so it runs all the time and it keeps things pretty cool.

Odd, last summer while I was deployed to Tyndall AFB in florida I had no cooling issues what so ever, and I was only running a couple fans yanked from a junked fwd nissan.

Sounds like you need a t-stat and cap, doesn't sound like an airflow issue.

I'd recommend the Nismo ones, helped my overheating problem.

Check your fluid mixtures, as well as your fan's operational temp.

Also look into building a air flow guide. It will help considerably at keeping the car cooler while moving.

Not true... in fact you more than likely achieve greater airflow by moving the fan back a few inches.

The only reason why the FAL duals sit tight to the radiator is that they are designed for FWD or AWD cars where turbo clearance is worth more to the market.

make a cardboard cooling panel and see what that does for you before buying one.

?

The cooling panel is a good call as well.

Enjuku has a special deal on them for NICO folks. I have one and it seemed to help as well.

I had one and it does not help at all according to temp reading off of the water temp gauge.

I can kind of see what nismo frealk is saying: looks like custom shroud is needed for the actual radiator fan, phase2 almost mentioned something like that but I'd like to see some finished work or ideas in drawing

one does have to realize that it's possible to overcool the motor with upgraded t-stat, causing potential problems such as the computer always operating in fast idle mode.

i'm sure that's not a common occurence, though.

if you're having cooling problems, maybe a solution of diluted water and water wetter will help.

*shrugs*

either way, good luck!

*EDIT*

also, the SPAL fans come highly recommended from kevin at c&r racing. their radiator kit comes with the SPAL already attached.

is c&r a radiator company?

http://www.crracing.com/performance/

I was expecting custom shrous or something but I found no such a thing

I heard the samething with over cooling with nismo thermo stat as well which is why I didn't get it, I think I am running a stock one
