I'd say the 2018 Rogue SL premium package, but when the deals and discounts roll in though. That's the best bang for the buck and a great killer deal. Got our 2016 Rogue SL for a great price, just gotta work out the numbers, since that's what dealers are looking at these days.

Has anyone been successful negotiating price by email? I know dealers want to sit you down at the showroom and get out the rubber hoses. Even if you're only talking to one dealership, they have no way of knowing that.

Not an accurate comparison. The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is more akin to the Rogue SPORT model.

mac, ras_oscar , unbelievably I bought a chevy van waay back 2008 at CA dealer LaQuinta (360 mi?) and initially answered the Dealer website Ad price .Two more subsequent emails (def. I got a "confirmed" deal via email  ). The salesman and Dealer were impeccable , and I believe they really wanted to move the Express 1500 , was LARGELY IT. All my subsequent - future experience w / Dealer car shopping - my conclusion , THAT was a different time , NOW internet ads ,for us , have been literally 80% Lies , lied when you get there etc. etc. I think ,like many things, "Internet sales" have turned into a "Monster" ! :yesnod

I wouldn't consider the Mitsu until they release the safety ratings. At that point the best you can do is compare specs and reviews keeping an eye on the aspects you deem most important. One thing I notice about the Eclipse Cross is that AWD comes standard on all but the lowest trim level and even there it's only a $600 upgrade. With many other crossovers AWD is a $1500 or so upgrade. Mitsubishi also has a much smaller market share than Nissan, so if its sales are slow, the incentives might be big.
