I have an 05 still only 8000miles so...no probs but everyone told me that they pretty much got all the glitches worked out by then....03 and early 04 have a tire feathering issue at around 30k and i believe so transmission probs as well....i personally like the 06 rays w/ the 19s in the back and 18s up front...but you can find a 05 for a better price...i bought mine over the summer for 25k with 7k miles and the gold package warrenty..it took a long time waiting and looking but i gott a really good deal...

Welcome to Nico!personally I like the idea of a high milage eary car (03-04) because they can be bought cheaper (sub $20k) and leave room in the budget for a darteon sleaved overbored block with forged internals and a massive turbo kit but thats me, it depends on your goals with tthe car, the 07 is the most powerful stock 350z to date but some small amount of hp, so if you intend to stay pure stock but want every little extra pony then the 07 is top choice, and the problems even on the early cars were minimal and should have been worked fixed while still under warranty, if warranty is a concern then newer with less miles leaves you with more remaining factory warranty

so what exactly are you wanting in a car?

I'm looking at possibly getting a Z too. Not sure if I should try Carsdirect (or other online site) as opposed to looking used or the dealer. CD says there's a $1000 rebate.

I'm down for paying less by buying used but to think of things the PO tore up scares me. But I would have the remained of the warranty right or does it not transfer over? (36k mile warr?)

The PO should, if I buy used, have documentation of getting tire feathering related things fixed?

Thanks!

Welcome to Nico!yes the ballanceof the factory warranty transfer, and there is no charge for it, Honestly aside from a few minor bugs, the Z hasn't had much to worry about in the way of repairs aside from basic maintenance, of course the oldest of the Z33's are only 4 years old as yet
