What is the best tire for me? 02 q45 18 inch

I currently have stock 245 45 18 Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 tires. I live in Florida and use this car for a daily driver and occasional trip car. Is there a tire I would be happier with other than these stock ones with regrds to wear, price, and ride? These seem very high priced. Thanks.

With tires, you get what you pay. Michelin are some of the best made.

There was an excellent tire sticky in Infiniti General, but it is lost in General Chat somewhere. Maybe one of the moderators can pull it back? That would be truely helpful for our community.

If you want wow tires, PS2 are the way to go. But remember wear and performance are on opposite ends of the spectrum.

several other 02-06 Q45 owners here run Kuhmos Ecsta.I have 185k on my 02F50 and have run 255/45/18 for the last 130K miles.I usually get 30-35k on a set.I run the one size up because I am on the road 70% of the time and the larger (3%) helps with the mpg. I don't drive hard and the kuhmos have performed well enough that I stay with them.

I run 245/40/18 Sumitomo HTR Z III on my 94 Q, and they've served me well. The 245/45/18's are fairly inexpensive at $145 each on tirerack.com.

I have Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports on my Impreza wagon and I think I'd be happy with these on the Q too.

If you pay the most money, you'll get the best, but if you pay the least money you don't necessarily get the worst.
