You're in the wrong section. This is the FWD SR section.

That's a really general section that will cause you to get flamed, fyi. I'd try searching.

MOTEC or Tec 3/Tec GT

both are the best out there, bottom line. You will have to buy new sensores and make your own engine harness, but itll have the most accurate tunability and most user friendly interfaces.

i no longer recommend teh AEM EMS to people as mine had issues at one point in time, now they have recalled all the units i believe.

retuned stock ECU, your options are very limited. What race class are you building your car for?

im going to at least start off running the car in SCCA prepped for ITA specs, then running the car in ITA trim in NASA PTD

yeah you cant do much at all, but i really think itll be a good level to start off at, and my wallet will like me that much more for it...as much as id like to be running ST with you and a couple other east coast people

itll be awhile before i start racing, even tho im doing whatever i can to stay in PTA that way i can be more competative instead of always needing more power. I just need to keep power around 270-300 and not lighten the car much more and i should be good.

I plan on being a NASA instructor next year, im doing the clinic at VIR in march, its one step closer to me getting MUCH more track time for cheap so i can determine if racing is a financial possibility. (tires and brakes more than anything)

of course i say that and the new 2008 GCR comes out and says this

6. The engine management computer may be altered orreplaced. A throttle position sensor and its wiring maybe added or replaced. A MAP sensor and its wiring maybe added. Other existing sensors, excluding the stock airmetering device, may be substituted for equivalent units.

7. Wires and connectors in the engine wiring harness may bemodified or replaced.

the only issue with PFC is that you HAVE to use either their commander, of buy the Datalogit stuff which costs an arm and a leg. not easy to do tuning with laptop.

i know you can get the PFC cheap, but not the laptop tuning hardware.

whatever you do buy, be sure to get it with a warrenty, electronics are never fun when something goes wrong.

What plans do you have for the motor as far as mods, power and use? A stock ECU tune goes a LONG way before it can no longer handle the demands of the application.
