I noticed many after market cat backs for the 2007 350Z. Which one do you consider to be the best for my grand touring coupe I have on order as far as quality, fit and finish, hp gains, and sound? Also, is it really worth it for me to buy one or is the factory system enough? Thanks.

HKS, Greddy, etc.... just depends on your budget and what you are partial too. Most exhausts systems are only going to yield around 8-10hp @ most. So I wouldn't go with anything to expensive.

The NISMO exhaust for the Z33 is popular but its big money and if you're looking for a loud exhaust it isn't overly loud. But fitment, quality, appearance, performance gain, etc are all top notch.

This is what is on my Z and let me say it has the sweetest sound

STILLEN'S hot new exhaust for the 350Z is the result of months of development and testing. Made of 100% stainless steel, the system features dual pipes and mufflers and a lifetime warranty. It makes the most power of any 350Z system on the market and fits like a glove.

Retested on 9/11/03 in 5th gear dyno runs to add 16 HP at 5600 rpm and 14 Ft/Lbs at 4600 rpm. This is the first and best full cat back system available for the 350Z. The fit, finish, power and mellow tone have to be experienced to be fully appreciated. No other system available can compare!

Please note this item will ship in two boxes. Please call for accurate shipping quote, or place the order and you will be contacted to approve shipping rates before your order is finalized.

Now there is other excellent systems like Magnaflow Exhaust Cat-Back System - Dual

APS 2.5 inch True Dual Cat Back Exhaust System for Nissan 350Z

GReddy SP2 system Street Performance System

AAM Spec 3” MaxFlow True Dual Exhaust System is the highest flowing exhaust available for the 350Z

Good luck there is a lot out there. I went with Stillen because of there history and proven performance they improve yearly with their R&R department.

ZBAZ, thanks for your very informative reply and I like your Stillen. I noticed though that the Stillen photo at the top has extra bends compared with the Injen or Nismo I am considering. Probably makes no difference, but have you seen an Injen titanium set up on a Z? Still trying to decide between the three. Thanks.

It fit perfectly the very first time in. I have laid down on my back in the driveway and install a number of aftermarket systems but this one went in like a puzzle with no heat required. I was blown away!! The sound was so great and different than OEM. My wife even said it sounds COOL and she not impressed by anything. I personally think the key was the high flow cats. I put them on 3 weeks later and they made a huge flow sound difference and the exhaust got more pronounced.

Thanks and good luck,

BAZ...
