This might sound like a noob question but i found this button near my sunroof and i have no idea what it does. can anyone enlighten me a little? I searched, but i dont think anyone has answer this question. My friend told me it has something to do with traction control, but i still dont have an idea.thanx in advance for the help!

i dont think so, i just know what ASC stands for, can't think of anything else. Maybe S-15's or perhaps S-14's have them?

oh, and active stability control has nothing to do with traction, it has to do with the electronic suspension. as it senses load it tries to counteract it with stiffening the suspension on the side with the load, thus making the car handle better, which makes it harder to lose grip around a turn

Active stability control is so RWD noobs don't spin out. Basically when things get hairy the system brakes individual an individual wheel or wheels to prevent it from excessive oversteer. Doubt it has anything to do with stiffening the suspension. I believe the G35 has this system as do many BMWs.

I dunno about it being solely for noobs, try turing a lap in a vette with the asc turned off and then with it turned on. If the times are better with it off you might want to check if your last name is not Fangio, and go drive for an F-1 team.

um, no, Slider you would be wrong. Your thinking of traction control, Active Stability control is something completely different.
